Armenian heritage , a prosperous city one hundred years ago and still in a good condition but the charm is there , you can feel the golden age of this beautiful church

Armenian Catholic Church with Hungarian language. In 1848 they was with the Hungarian Revolution and they given loan to lieutenant Bem. Therefore the emperor's army robbed the city 2 times. Later 1850: 2224 inhabitants with 689 Armenian, 619 Magyar, 488 Vlach, 47 German. 1238 were Roman Catholic, 817 Greek Catholic, 130 Calvinist. 1910: 4408 inhabitants with 2613 Magyar, 940 Romanian, 496 German, 332 Gipsy. 1306 were Roman Catholic, 958 Greek Catholic, 516 Lutheran, 348 ortodox(!).
