I have attended many of their fabulous classes. Teachers were all very well prepared and engaging. The yarns in this shop are to die for. Good price range catering for different budgets - all high quality. Large range of accessories plus lots of knitting and crochet patterns. Staff are friendly and helpful. If you require extra attention, go during quieter times. I have also shopped online here and my purchases were handled without a hitch. Happy knitting and crocheting!

My absolute favourite yarn store in Australia. This is a store that is filled with passion. I visited today on a warm Saturday afternoon. Inside was thankfully air conditioned and people were enjoying the space browsing, knitting and really talking shop. The team are very friendly and know their stuff! This is clearly evident with the many demo items throughout the store. Deb and the team are welcoming no matter what stage of knitter you are. Yarn selection is wide and I found there was decent stock levels so I was able to grab complete sweater lengths of yarn in the colours I wanted. There is a nice selection of books, patterns and notions. I have attended knit nights as well as classes that were friendly and well organised. I love the fostering of a local craft community that is missing in some of the stores I visit. By far an international standard yarn store on my “must visit” list when I am in Sydney. Highly recommended.
Helpful staff and the store is like a lolly shop, so many beautiful products and colours. I sew, but now I am going to have to knit with this gem only a short walk from home. I'll be back!
I've purchased online from Skein Sisters. Lovely products and very quick postage. Very well-packaged that also contained a free sample of wool. I've ordered from them a second time.

Can’t tell you how much I love this yarn store. I have only recently taken up knitting and their staff are knowledgeable and helpful and don’t make you feel like a total numpty when you’re starting out and don’t know anything. I took my son in to choose yarn for a jumper for him and they spoke to him so kindly and seriously, took him to the window to make sure he was happy with the colour in natural light and just made the whole experience such a delight. I’ve since been back many times and will no doubt return many more!

The Skein Sisters are so helpful and are incredibly knowledgeable about their products. They helped me interpret my pattern's confusing instructions about which yarn to use and when I couldn't decide on which colour I wanted, I stood outside while she held up all the different colours I thought I liked (Covid life). Made it so much easier to decide, as it's always better to see in real life rather than online.
