We went here on sat night 19th Dec the food was fabulous but what made our evening was Andrew the waiter the best service ever!! Attention to detail with all we ordered he was checking if we needed more wine ... of course he made the evening for us the reception staff brilliant to we could not fault our evening here thank you especially to Andrew he’s worth his weight in gold well worth the visit and we will return and my father is not easily pleased he loved it

Fantastic food and lovely friendly staff. Burgers are out of this world. Make sure you definitely go to the Duke of York when you go to York it is a priority. Also lovely beers and ales for the drinkers.
We visited for for lunch during the week. Great vegan choices! The food arrived quickly and the portion sizes were very generous. Good value deal.

Really amazing decor and the best comfy chairs. Staff are great and informative too. Can't wait to be back. Doesn't get rowdy either so you can have a conversation without struggling to hear. Service is excellent, they know how to pull a pint and the wait isn't long, good stuff
