Lots of character, lots of wacky decor, lots of local beers. Loved it. They aren’t serving food (I’m not sure if that’s ever, or just at the moment because of coronavirus), but the ambience is great.

Unbelievable what happened to me in this, bar had a nice couple of drinks in the bar. We enjoyed the atmosphere so much decided to nip out for a quick bite to eat. On our return was told by the same staff my face covering was inadequate, this was the same person who served me less then ten minutes before. She told me her manager had told her to tell me. Eventually the man came out and explained he had changed the rules in the last ten minutes and I was no longer welcome. Adding just go buy a mask like every one else. Hard times for pubs, but if anyone deserves to be quiet this business does.

We pop in here fairly regularly as a family for a day time drink. Nice vibe, lovely back room and friendly staff.

It's one of the best pubs in Whitstable - great crowd, live music, fireplace, dog friendly, some beautiful artwork, an outdoor area, a wee restaurant out the back (charming) and some great beers on tap. I've been coming here for years. They don't charge a 5er for a pint of guiness and the staff are lovely ... the tables are a wee bit sticky at times but I recommend stopping in. Meeting the locals - if you're worth meeting!
