We visited Western Plains Riding Centre over the long weekend in Dubbo. The staff (Gemma, Amy, Emma and Bronte) were amazing in escorting the eight of us with varied horse riding experiences! The horses like Gunner were well looked after, would recommend and come back for a visit when in town. Sure, the place smells slightly and you have stops - but it is to be expected on farm.

I loved the course. For 60, you can have a lesson, including how to stop, a simple walk, trotting and how to speed up. You would start the lesson in a big sand filled area for practise. Then, when you have the hang of riding, you would go out into the field and have a 15 minute trot. Afterwards, you go out with a group of people and ride in the big grassroots and in the bush. Would absolutely recommend! Although the stables smell, you do get used to it after a while.
