Wonderful place. Great service, great people, great place to be. I would recommend this hidden gem to anyone in the kc area. They really embody the 39th street vibe. Brent is an amazing host and Bret (with one t) is an amazing bartender. I don't even drink on the regular but I will be a regular there.

Out to dinner with a customer and ended up here per his request. Wasn’t sure about the neighborhood at first. The food is worth the trip. Try the worm dip and shrimp tacos......YES, shrimp tacos in the Midwest. They know what they are doing. The chorizo tacos are also excellent! Didn’t have any of the margaritas, but I did see a fishbowl sized one as I waked in.
Atmosphere was fantastic. Got there little before 2 on a Sunday. Chiefs played at 325. Had the trio with queso, guacamole, and their hot salsa. Everything was good. The hot wasnt to hot. But had fantastic flavor. On the recommendations of the bartender we had the street tacos with chicken and steak. Great flavors. Simple. Also had the super nachos. Bartender was great. We had the mimosa and bloddy Mary. Both were really good. Will be back soon. Great little gem.
We just tried the Drunken Worm and loved the food and service. The classic nachos are delicious and so are the chicken and steak street tacos. Quesadilla was huge and made a great meal. If you are looking for a fun environment (think dive bar), give this place a try!
My preferred location for delicious mexican food. entered near ten, it was not crowded. definitely worth a return visit. it has a good interior. they have a lot of great reviews for a reason.
