The poutine is just okay, not amazing. Fries could be cooked a little more, gravy is a little sour. They might have invented the dish but their recipes hasn't changed since 1964. In 2021, the market is very competitive and for a guy like me who's from Montreal, the detour is not worth it at all. UPDATE: The poutine gave me an explosive diarrhea

The restaurant is not much to look at from outside but who cares when you have the best Poutine Sauce in all of Quebec. Not only is the sauce incredible but they use local cheese curds and the fries are wider cut using local potatoes. Ya just can't beat this Poutine!! Le Roy Jucep deserves 5 Stars !

The food was delicious! The poutine and pizza were amazing and flavorful, also the beer was on point. Definitely a place I will recommend to stop by

Really good poutine. Thick-cut fries made from local potatoes, the freshest, squeekiest cheese and delicious thick tasty sauce. The sauce was a little on the sweet side, which my brother wasn't sure about, but I thought it was tasty. One of the best poutines I've ever had. The place was really cool- an old diner with orange booths.

Disappointing. We ordered the authentic as well as orange ‘juceps’. The sauce was very odd and tasted like bland gravy with plum sauce added in: it was both too sweet while a little sour. Coming from Montreal, we expected the orange drink to be similar to orange julep. Even the drink served in my high school cafeteria was more similar. This was just watered down reconstituted orange juice.
