They fitted Recon gearbox & torque converter to my husbands Triumph Stag and freed off the brakes, but gave car back as roadworthy with defective master cylinder (over pumped to bleed brakes and seal gone), whining gearbox and then after 540 miles discover that almost half the gearbox to engine bolts were loose, with two almost ready to fall out of the bell housing; avoid as costly (2,800 and not a proper job, seemed to be too interested in racing! Also my husband too nice to complain; should have!!!

I have known Dominic Mooney for a number of years and I must admit, he is probably the best classic car mechanic and renovator I have ever known. Dominic restored a dilapidated 1973 Triumph Stag for me and it was a ground up, nut and bolt and bare metal restoration which was completed to the highest specification and very reasonably priced. Dominic also used to service my Jaguar XJS TWR and also repaired a number of complex faults that emerged on the vehicle. Dominic also had the dubious pleasure of sorting out my 1971 Long Wheel Base Mercedes and nothing was too much for him. I would whole heartedly recommend Midland Classic Restorations for any classic or sporting car requirement.
