Time to get your skate on and head to Down Town Fish Bar! I was going to order Cod and chips until I saw Skate is available for 6:60 Fri-Sat only. Not sure I’ve ever had skate and chips before so I went for it. It took about 15 minutes to be freshly cooked to order. That’s because it was extremely busy with waiting customers and those who had ordered for collection. The staff didn’t stop the whole time I was there. Very hard working, they must be absolutely battered by the end of their shift! When I got home, I was impressed with the amount of chips in my small portion, more than enough. Because of the high turnover they were fresh. The skate was delicious. Looking forward to treating myself again soon to the nations favourite meal - fish & chips.
