I dropped my machine on a Wednesday and it was ready at the weekend, excellent service. This was a year ago, it’s pretty much ready for another service now, making lots of scrubs and thousands of masks.

I purchased a Brother 4234D overlocker machine on 19th November 2020, having spoken to Steve by telephone to check stock. It was around 5.00pm but he said he would wait for me if I was delayed during my 30 minute journey. He was extremely helpful giving advice on how to set up the machine, which was to be a Christmas present for my wife. For example, he suggested using different colour threads while practicing in order to differentiate stitch tensions, therefore making adjustments to the tension settings easier and more obvious. He further offered that if my wife has any issues setting up the machine to phone him or call in and he will show her how to set up the identical display model which she can then try out herself. Alternatively, she is welcome to bring her own machine along. How can you possibly beat that level of service with competitive pricing to boot! Amazon simply cannot compete. (The only negative is that, on a specific inquiry prior to purchase, I was told that a blind foot was included, but it is not. It means I will have to pay an additional 24.00 or so for this item) - Superceded, see below. Subsequently, I found the blind stitch foot in the accessories bag included with the machine. Totally my fault for not noticing it initially, so 100% positive feedback for Dowlings service. Thank you, Steve.
Purchased a sewing machine today. Very impressed with the service. Showed the requested machine and ran through the essentials. No attempt to upsell to a more expensive model.

Brilliant service, can't recommend them enough. Took my Riccar overlocker on a Thursday for repair to a fault and service and got it back on the next Monday. Lovely friendly people.
