Food was very good, probably the best in planet Thanet. As close as you can get to south Indian food.

As a south indian, I think the standard of the food is quite good. I have ordered dosas (thosai), chicken curry, vadai (these have been ALWAYS fresh, hot and crispy) and briyani, quite regularly. The briyani is a proper south indian briyani with a hard boiled egg and generous amounts of meat and flavour. I think they should improve on how they advertise themselves, as their food is actually really good for Margate.
I can happily say this is one of the best South Indian food I've tried in the UK. Their gobi manchurian and masala dosas are really flavourful, and they use fresh ingredients. The food is also reasonably priced. Friendly staff too. Highly recommended! :)
I've wanted to try The Cliff's Sri Lankan food for a while now because the menu offers different items to other restaurants, including dosai. Tonight we ordered a few dishes and although we found them all very tasty, they were all too salty - even the naan was too salty. The dosas were good, as was the sambar, the chicken dishes were very well spiced, but the saltiness was quite overwhelming. It was a shame because otherwise the meal would have been very good.
