This great tapas restaurant is no longer a hidden gem in San Sebastian and definitely earned it's title. The restaurant is packed, lunch or dinner, so if you want to make sure you will be seated make a reservation in advance. We've really enjoyed the atmosphere in the crowded bar. Every single dish was delicious and the whine they recommended us went well with the fish dishes. The service was helpful and the food was superb

Just wanted to share that though the fois gras dish was amazing, the T-bone meat here was extremely tough and chewy and the tendon was impossible to chew. The fries that came with was also not crispy and seemed to be soggy in the oil. Not sure, we asked the waitress and she told us it's supposed to be like this, so just a warning that perhaps the better dish to order is their fish (we saw a lot more people order that).

Friendly service, even though staff speak very little English. The clams with rice is big enough to be a main course, clams were juicy and risotto rice perfectly cooked. Grouper also a stand out dish served with vegetables and a blue sauce that was maybe seaweed? Not sure but it was delicious and didn’t have time for photo. Millefueille for dessert and it was very crispy served with hazelnut ice cream. Would return to try the pintxo bar downstairs, next time!

Highly recommend the scallop fish in the downstairs bar. The service is very friendly and there should be seats for you to sit on. Generally people leave pretty quickly after finishing their meals. Next time I’m hoping I can try upstairs. If the downstairs bar is anything to go by we will be in for a treat!

Food so good we ate there 2 days in a row. Pintxos were all very tasty. Wine is great and cheap! (2 per glass!). Lively atmosphere and friendly service.
