I had to go into DRI for appendicitis and I was so so nervous being my first OP and first proper hospital stay. Everyone was pleasant and was up for a chat and a bit of humour. I'd like to thank all the staff in Surgical Assessment and S12 Ward plus all the theater staff that looked after me. Recovering well all down to them :)

No one enjoys being in hospital but I found DRI clean, bright and well organised with an pleasant efficient atmosphere. Staff were respectful and actually called me by my name. The way staff treated vulnerable patients was calm patient and respectful. Access and wheelchair availability was good. Also appreciated not having to decide what I wanted to eat tomorrow. Just choosing from some simple options as they arrived worked much better for me.
Just want to say Thanks to all at DRI, you looked after my friend that came into hospital last week, and she never felt so looked after, shes feeling alot better, just want to say thank you for all your hard work, Thanks.
Everyone wearing masks not too many people about. Social distancing in place, bottles of sanitizer for public use. Feels safe for patients.
I went to DRI today for a scan on my kidneys. My mistake thinking it was DRI when in fact my appointment was at Montagu hospital. The reception staff at the X-ray department were lovely, the young lady organised to squeeze me in to avoid a cancelled appointment. 5 star service everytime I go to DRI.
