Had an engineer yesterday to fix my cooker, was very impressed with his knowledge and repair was all done with 30 mins. Today my fridge freezer is playing up, so gave them a call and they are coming again on Friday. I hope its not true that bad things happen in three's ! ha ha !

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with DRC. The first visit the engineer Phil brought the wrong item to repair the induction hob. A few days later the engineer came back at 7:30 in the morning instead the scheduled time of 16:00. After the installation, I was concerned the glass was not sitting correctly to the counter top due to small debris left over from the previous hob. The engineer replied was it is a sealed and I questioned his observation. Then he replied is NOT my job to clean it and stormed off the property. This is totally not professional and very poor quality of workmanship. In addition, he did not dispose the old parts of the hob and left it on the kitchen floor. Hence all the above I will give a 0 stars rating.

Just had this company out to repair my American Fridge Freezer, I was told by another company that it was not able to be repaired. I wanted a second opinion and I am so glad I did. I rang Domestic Repair Centre and they came out next day and found that one of the sensors had failed and fixed it straight away. The engineer was called David and he was so helpful and explained in detail what the fault was and what he has done to fix it. I am so grateful to him.

Failed LED display on a 4 month old dishwasher, engineer came early which was great. Nice bloke, but after investigation of the problem he advised that he couldn't complete the repair as the office had ordered the wrong parts, despite being told exactly what the problem was a week previously! I did raise a complaint with John Lewis because I considered this wasted visit totally unnecessary for both me and the engineer. I did get a call to advise the correct parts were in and I booked a return visit, however the advisor on the phone was brusque and unhelpful regarding timings. Working for the NHS our time is precious and I explained I didn't want to waste a scheduled day off waiting in, so could I request an early appointment as before. She was abrupt, dismissive and very unprofessional, so I asked for a manager!! The manager was polite and understanding. The engineer DID arrive early as before and fixed the fault in 20 minutes so I'm pleased with that aspect of the service, but please give your scheduling assistant on the phone some CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING, she is appalling and she represents your company which is not good for your business. Glad this was under warranty as I would not choose this place on its terrible reviews alone. :-( If the parts had been correct at first visit I would have given more stars, however on this occasion this company let me down and themselves. When you're paying a lot of money for an appliance you command excellent aftercare in case things go wrong. Change your booking scheduler to one with compassion and customer care skills and you may get an increase in your ratings, an instant apology goes a very long way...

Prompt attendance and good advice from Dave who checked over the oven and explained that we may be having an intermittent issue with our gas supply rather that a fault with the unit. Was able to attend quickly.
