Iowa County Aikido (ICA) is a hidden gem! Aikido itself is such a wonderful practice - ultimately we are learning how to cooperate with others in the world. Kurt Sensei is an accomplished practitioner - he is super patient and generous. There's a wonderful community of people that train here. Very, very good!!!!

Sensei (teacher) Lifka is an accomplished martial artist, authentic 4th degree black belt in Aikido. If what you seek is great teacher and authentic dojo, stop by and check it out! Beautiful dojo in a peaceful setting. Instructors and students are very welcoming. Signed my daughter up for Saturday classes and now we both go on Saturdays together! Love that there are opportunities for families to learn together!
This is a phenomenal dojo if you’re looking to learn traditional martial arts. The instructors are incredibly welcoming, and there is a great mix of both experienced students and beginners. I highly recommend for anybody interested in self-development and defensive technique.
