Incredible experience. From atmosphere to food to service, they ,without any doubt, deserve their Michelin Star.

This place has a very good reputation but unfortunately my girlfriend and I had a horrible experience there. We booked a table and showed up on time. We took an aperitif and ordered our food. Then we had a change of mind (within 2 minutes) and decided to take the full menu. We asked to change and we were immediately confronted with an aggressive tone. The person taking the orders had assumed I wanted to change table (which is hard during covid) while in fact all I wanted was to upgrade to the full menu. The person brought the menu back, didn't wait a single minute and only came back 20 minutes later to take our orders. When I pointed out the wait was too long according to our taste, especially because we knew what we wanted to take from the start, the person became confrontational to the point she refused to serve us. This is absolutely unacceptable and I would never ever recommend this place. I am a polite and respectful person and can't understand that behavior.

We were spoiled! A very good place,a bid bourgeois, full of the luxury you might want to expect. Very good wine card although some knowledge is required to find the best price quality bottle..pro's only if you do not want to rely on the excellent sommeliers advice. Food was very good and the proposed menus focus on excellence and adequate portions, no excess of show. I do recommend this place, enjoy

Allured by the promise of visiting a 1 Michelin star restaurant, we contacted Gilain one week in front, happily surprised there was still room for two. Now we may well understand the reason. The staff is reasonably friendly but doesn't speak Dutch or English so we had trouble to communicate. However, the food should speak for itself. But unfortunately it definitely is not Michelin worthy. It is fair food but nothing you would suspect for a Michelin ranked restaurant. We ordered a 4 course menu with accompanying wines but the main course and cheese were served with the same wine, simply stating it was the best wine for both. Either the food quality dropped after receiving their ranking or we simply had a chef's bad night but in the end we had a disappointing evening.

We had a delicious meal. We were very different than the other customers as this was a special occasion and we wanted to try something nice. The service was outstanding. Will come again

Great food but service is not worth it I was with my wife for our anniversary dinner and I must say that the food is really nice and it's worth indeed the Michelin star that it is awarded. However, the service was not what I expect from these types of restaurants and the price we paid, I will explain myself in the most constructive way I can. My wife is coeliac, so she MUST eat gluten free. When I make my reservation I clearly state that she needs to eat gluten free due to her disease. I am told that there is no issue, I just need to tell them about my wife's condition upon our arrival. So far so good and so I did. The problems started right at the beginning because the waitress confused the first snack and was about to give the normal snack to her instead of me. I asked her and after some doubts she gave her the gluten free. Ok, everybody can make a mistake, we didn't mind about that. The dinner continued and we realised when they brought the 4th service that they had forgotten that my wife's dish was gluten free, so they had to take it back and bring another one which was gluten free. After this It happened again with the dessert, now we were not trusting the waitress and after asking, they had to bring another dessert adapted for her, AGAIN they had forgotten that she had to eat gluten free. Therefore, the dinner was not what I had expected and it's been the worst experience so far in the several Michelin starred restaurants I have been so far. I didn't enjoy seeing my wife tense at the end of the dinner because they didn't trust the food she was eating and she was worried she might get sick. This is the sole reason I give you 1 star: I hope you will train your staff better in the future to take special clients like my wife more seriously.

Very welcoming staff, nice view and atmosphere. The food was excellent, close to perfection. I especially liked the starter (lobster with "mozzarelle") and the main dish (Rascasse - lionfish with artichokes).
