The castle has a big beautiful garden that hosts Floralia event in spring. Massive amounts of blooming spring flowers (hyacinths, tulips, daffodils), looks really impressive. Must see for all flowers lovers. Has a small flowers market inside as well. Keep in mind that it's pretty far from the city center and doesn't have a very big parking

Very beautiful. We visited the garden and the castle when it was sunny and warm outside and I can't imagine a better way to spend a day out. It was truly magnificent, full of flowers everywhere, there was catering where you could get some food or ice-cream, there were enough tables and chairs for everyone plus a bonus glass house with so many flowers on display. It was incredibly beautiful.
Stunning old manor with tower! Gardens are pristine- a lovely day walking around !! Dogs allowed, lots of children, great place to set up a blanket and have a picnic! Grounds weren’t too muddy after rain, but wear shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. There are 2 lines when entering: a cash only and a cash/card line. Parking in the fields surrounding the castle was a bit difficult after rain - lots of people got stuck. Be careful. Quite a few lovely places to eat that are walking distance from site.
Absolutely eclectic spring event combining a flower show, old Flemish paintings and Venice carnival characters. Gorgeous visual material for artists and photographers.

A must visit place in spring.Groot-Bijgaarden Castle is open only fr a month. Pls check schedule before planning ur visit.There is a entry fee of 14 euros fr adults. Garden is exactly similar to Kuekenhauf but with less crowd. A good way to spend a sunny day in spring.
Nice place with lots of flowers, a nice park, a castle and well thought through views. One can see the occasional wedding couples and exhibitions in castle. Well maintained.
It is a nice place to visit in the outskirts of Brussels city. A old castle and very well maintained garden and lot of flowers. Calm place to go,relax and picnic. Visit between April and May will be more good because there will be floraila flower exhibition.
