This place is so good home cooking. Good service and they make their own ketchup it is the best I have ever had The best I have ever had Check it out folks you won't be sorry. The food is delicious. This is my little gem place now.

Came for the Sunday brunch and it was an amazing experience. Socially distanced seating and super accommodating for dietary issues. I was going to omit part of the meal because of allergies but the server listed alternatives for me instead. It was great to be so well taken care of.
If you find yourself near Devon (do make a day of it, cycling the 200kms of beautiful trails, or river valley walks!) ... you owe it to yourself to stop at the HomeRoom Diner! Unexpectedly wonderful food, described by locals as "a breath of fresh air in a town full of Chinese food and pizza places." Proprietor Manfred is a great host, diligent foodie, accommodating to guests, and knowledgeable barista! (Coffee roasting coming soon, I hope?) The meatloaf with house-made tomato jam (too exquisite to call ketchup!) and smashed potatoes had me returning 3X, my wk in Devon. The banana bread French toast is to die for! The luscious birch sweetened whip cream? A stroke of genius. Outdoor socially-distanced seating for COVID, for now. Indoors is booths or tables and chairs. Good for kids. Not fancy decor, but a very clean place, and the wonderful food of this dedicated 3 person operation will have me returning again and again! Wheelchair accessible washrooms
A small town gem! If you want REAL food this is the place! My husband and I come here with our 3 year old and have enjoyed brunch and supper here many times. Whether we choose off the menu or a special we are never disappointed. Bonus because they buy local as much as possible! Thanks for the great service and food!
Took the wife in for Valentines dinner and we were really happy with our meals and the service. It was really busy but they handled it well and it didn’t take long to get us to a table. Nice to have a higher end place in Devon Now

Cozy and full of love. Manfred, the owner, serves up a creative feast of only local ingredients combined with knowledge, foodie sense and class. This space honors the traditional simplicity of diners, but will amaze the most seasoned gastro with its exquisite execution!
