cosy spot in the very heart of this centuries olde city. friendly staff. fine dutch breakfast. we had a romantic room underneath the roof with eclectic antiquish furniture. some interior details ask for renovation however. despite this, yes, i'd recommend it.

It's not just the hotel. We haven't seen more than the entrance: an old-fashioned cafeteria annex candy store. And we came back for it! In the context of the city you might call it "The old candy shop" Very "gezellig", as the Dutch say.
Nice hotel with a beautiful shop where the breakfast is served.
Love this hotel and always go with the family. I'm going again in August.
Fijne kamers, heerlijk ontbijt en een fantastisch leuk winkeltje en museum. Tel daar hele aardige mensen bij op en dan krijg je als uitkomst.... dat de volgende boeking alweer een feit is
Zeer gedateerde kamers die niet in verhouding staan tot de prijs! De suite heeft weinig met met luxe wel met overgrootmoeders tijd! Prima ontbijt

Er weer even tussenuit. Het kan heel goed bij Hotel De Leeuw. De 1,5 meter afstand houden is heel goed te doen. Bovendien is er op de kamer een kitchenette waar je wat kunt opwarmen of een kopje thee/koffie kunt maken. Het binnenplaatsje biedt privacy waar je bij mooi weer heerlijk kunt zitten. Hortance zorgt 's ochtends voor een picknickmandje met alles wat je bij het ontbijt zou willen. Je kunt dit lekker op je kamer nuttigen of bij mooi weer op het binnenplaatsje of het dakterras. Kamers zijn heel netjes en verzorgd. Kortom heel leuk hotel. Leuke wandelingen gemaakt op de Sallandse Heuvelrug.
