Unbelievable! 3 Star hotel and the receptionist cannot speak English. If you try to call them they will simply hang the phone if you do not speak Slovakian.

Old-timer hotel but that is why I like it. Good food also they cook.
Rooms old but clean, bathrooms old, didn't seem that clean. Receptionists were nice.
Old school at its best :) This hotel is situated right on the main street (direction from Zvolen to Kosice). Hotel has 3* and was build during the socialismus era and stuck in the moment, literally and physically ... Lobby is for smokers only (from my point) couse there is no separation between non-smokers and smokers at arival. Rooms are accurate for a 3* hotel but equiped with retro furniture from 80s. Bath was new renovated and very clean (big plus). Wall are very thin so youll hear almost every single noise. At the bar there are old posters from distilers but not all of displayed products are available. If you are a 80 s fan (from architectural view) this is a must for visit. If not, and youre not in a smokers club, youve better choose another one on the road to Kosice (or back) Polana etc. patriksnake
