Detroit Fish House: Steak and Oyster Bar

Probably shouldn’t tell everyone this, but what a great experience we had out in the ice fishing shanty! The Eskimo tents are warm and creatively decorated. The white fish pate was amazing; the fish entrees were cooked perfectly and the chocolate cheese cake dessert was incredible! Thank you so much for offering us a truly remarkable experience during this crazy time. Thank you Tiffany for your positive and friendly attitude, and Johnny, for sharing you’re funny stories. We will definitely be back!

Seafood like no other. The freshness of the ingredients is second to none. Our server, Virginia was an absolute star. Beautifully crafted dishes, done to perfection, like the crab cake appetizer which was to-die-for. Lobster bisque was rather rich for a hot day but it was fine just right. The Great Lakes Perch fillet with Bierce Blanc was splendid entree, and the macaroni lobster offered the best of both worlds - classic American fare paired with beautiful lobster meat. The key lime pie was fresh, light and true to its roots. Bread pudding was a hearty offering, definitely for a night when you want that but if extra richness. A 5 star experience over all.

Considering restrictions right now, shanty seating was exceptional. Robby took care of us and was amazing. Service was well above par, food was amazing. Recommend highly as they made it seem like they were taking care of us like family. Return already planned for next week when some restrictions lifted!

No regrets what so ever. If you are looking for a restaurant with out door dining THIS IS THE BEST SPOT! They have Eskimo tents with heaters, lights and they take reservations! The food is outstanding, always. Order any of the following and you won't be disappointed: fish and chips, crab cakes or the grouper. The white fish pate is a perfect starter. The wait staff is beyond amazing too. Tiffany is a fun, happy and interactive waitress while Jonnie is an amazing manager sharing funny stories about obtaining the Eskimo tents and making it a memorable experience. We will definitely be going back soon with friends! Thanks to all the members of the Detroit Fish House who made this night one we won't forget. We will continue to support you since you continue to impress us all the way around.

We got the eggroll appetizer which was delicious. The crab cakes were amazing! We will definitely be back!
