Have know Dr. Helen Byrd for 13 years as my oldest son started with her when he was born. Although she is a great physician, her office and staff is absolutely atrocious! I brought my children here today after leaving her office 2 yrs ago and quickly remembered why I left! My children's appointment was scheduled for 12pm, I arrived 5-10 minutes early and still didnt get called back until 2 and a half hours later! After waiting for 3 hours, I checked on the wait and was told I still had two other families ahead of me and one of them was a family of 4! The staff has no regard for others time and doesn't offer any sort of remorse. No apology no acknowledgement, just a laugh stating, \yeah I believe you waited 3 hours\. Like this is terrible! Here I am going on 4 hours, and still waiting. I will definitely be filing a complaint with LARA.

I had bad experiences with the stuff of Dr Helen Byrd in 4727 st Antoine suit#212 in Detroit 48201. This building is in front of my house so I went their several times with my baby, 9 months, and my daughter, 3 years. Every times I went their nurses treat me so rough except two of them. But last time on Friday morning, I had an appointment at 11:00pm. I went there on time. I noticed that there are many people came after me. We all were waiting in the waiting room. When they call my name they let me wait on room no. 10 which is the last room in the clinic and guess what I waited there 3 hours and half!!!!!!!!. My daughter started crying. She told me that she couldn't wait any more. Finally, the doctor came she spent with me just five minute. She told me that she are going to write an emollient for my daughter scalp. When I came out to the waiting room outside, There were no patient outside so I understood that they leave me the last one. Even I came on my time and there were many people who came after me. I was very upset. I asked the nurses about the scalp prescription, they told me that the doctor leaved the clinic!!!!!!! and she forgot to write the prescription and I had to wait until they call her. At least they wrote me Nizoral shampoo which an anti fungal shampoo not emollient. It was a huge mistake they wrote me any scalp prescription to let me out. I'm a pharmacist so I knew that there is a different between hair emollient and anti fungal shampoo. I think they are racing me because I am a Muslim.

Horrible!!!! Time management is off! Nurses and receptionist are rude!!! Had an 10:15am appointment and here it is noon and we’re still in the lobby waiting to be called back Smh I left and took my daughter elsewhere where not only their time but the patient time is valuable as well.

I have been taking my son here for 6 years since the day he was born literally. Now in this past year alone I have had nothing but problems with the appointment scheduling. They need to hire skilled educated people who knows how to look at a calendar and schedule appointments. This makes the 8th time they have scheduled me for a sat apppintment and they were closed when I came up there. The appointment card in their handwriting clearly states 12/12/15 at 11:15 and they are closed. How many times am I supposed to change my work schedule all for a waste of time. Also an appointment before when they were there I asked them why dont you call to confirm appointments like you used to and she said we do. She verified the number she had on file for me and no apologies or anything she said well we do call but i guess we didnt call. Its good you came though... These people are ridiculous. I love Dr.Byrd but the people they have in charge of everything else needs to be fired and hire some professional educated staff.
