We recently traveled with Detours to Greece. From the moment we began our initial inquiry to the time we returned home from our trip, Detours guided us each step of the way. We especially love that Detours planned everything, but developed the itinerary so that we didn’t feel pressured for time and allowed us to break away and do our own thing if we wanted to. And the trip is an incredible value! We also love the small groups size. Our trip guide, Miles, truly went out of his way to make sure that any needs were met, and was always available to answer questions and provide advice. When storms in the U.S. prevented us from returning from Greece for two days, Miles was right there to make sure we had accommodations during our delay. We loved our trip so much that we booked another trip to Egypt this summer. The recent pandemic derailed our trip, but they allowed us to rebook another trip, so we’ll be traveling with Detours to Portugal and Morocco soon! I recommend Detours Travel without reservation.

Croatia? What's in Croatia? This was the question I constantly got when friends heard of my vacation plans. I must confess I didn't know what to expect myself. I was pleasantly surprised at every turn. With the usual aplomb, Detours took us to amazing locations with spectacular views and incredible food. This country is definitely a must see!
I have traveled twice with Detours, Costa Rica and Thailand. The tour leaders were exceptional on both trips with personalities so perfect for their occupation! Detours strike a good balance between an organized itinerary with flexibility and freedom to explore on your own. If you’re laid back, adventurous, open minded and personable, then Detours are for you. Looking forward to planning trip#3!
I have traveled with the Detours to Greece and Spain. Both tours were well organized and a great value. The tour guides were knowledgeable, accommodating, and all around good guys! My trip to Croatia this year has been canceled but I will definitely travel with Detours again. Great job Guys..
I have been on two trips with Detours to Greece and Costa Rica. Both trips have been superb. Lots of fun in a group of guys who you meet at the start, with whom you become close knit by the end. Plenty of absolutely great activities and exploring to do. Thoroughly recommended for Gay and Bi travellers!
I planned my vacation to Greece at the last minute while in an impossible work situation. Miles took care of me getting my plans booked and our travel guide, Dan, was unbelievably knowledgeable and kind. Each excursion was planned with fantastic attention to detail and the group I was with was very mixed and a wonderful group of guys. You visit both the popular tourist attractions and a lot of off the beaten path venues and adventures. Detours had it all.
On March 20, 2020 we embarked on a vacation to Costa Rica with Detours Gay Adventure Travel! This trip became a life changing event for all of us. At the very start of the pandemic, we arrived and met 7 wonderful people. This was literally right before knew how crazy Covid-19 would get. From there we all faced daily anxiety related to the Covid-19 virus. And we all made decision to make the best of it as safely as possible. As many of you will recall things were changing in the World minute by minute. Thankfully we booked with Detours and they helped us find solace in the vast Costa Rican jungles, in the breathtaking nature, in the gorgeous beaches, in the waterfalls, the raging rivers, at the coffee plantation, throughout the city, with the people, in the delicious food, peering out at the massive Volcano in La Fortuna , sitting in the hot springs, listening to music, hiking the waterfalls at the Villa, sharing each other’s stories and basically creating unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime. Owner Miles and tour guide Brandon took care of us beyond expectation. Try to imagine owner Miles watching one tour after another shut down across the World. He kept calm and continued to be a delightful host the entire trip... Miles and Brandon never missed a beat for our 13 day adventure!!! With each change, Miles and Brandon kept us informed and ensured that our trip carried on, so long as it was still safe to do so. Thank you for being the best thing that happened to us in 2020, aside from Trump losing the Presidency. ️️\u200d
I have taken 8 trips with Detours and will take more. They provide excellent service before, during and after any booking. The individual trip leaders are all very professional as well as personable. They treat you like royalty in all situations. The accommodations are always first rate and the destinations are epic. Being a small group tour gives each traveler a sense of personal attention not found in the other types of tours. Well done Detours!
