I lost my dad (Alec) in May, and we was recommended Bannons (Kirkby Branch). Was so glad we did, massive thankyou to all the staff for taking care of my dad whilst he was resting under their care. But got to say a massive massive thankyou to Georgina for arranging his funeral, it was perfect. Also it was a lovely gesture from the staff as they was wearing blue ties on the day of his funeral (we hadn't even asked this of them), thought it was such a lovely tribute from the staff! So professional and caring, would recommend them to anyone _ x
Bannon's provided an excellent service following the passing of our mum. Natalie from the Kirkby branch was so lovely and professional. We were keen to go with a local company and Bannon's certainly didn't disappoint. They arranged everything for us and due to our short service, they were able to arrange mum's funeral in one week. The day went so well, I met with Michael who was also so kind and professional. Mum had an great send off and this was down to their excellent 5* service. This being our first funeral to organise, they really made things much, much easier for us. Whilst cost most certainly wasn't the reason to choose Bannon's, we were amazed by the difference compared to other companies for the same requirements. Our family would highly recommend Bannon's to anybody.
Unfutunatly we lost our Dad at the end of August, he wasn't cremated until the 23rd of September. We were going to chose the same funeral directors we had for our Mum but the decision was taken out of our hands. To be honest I'm really glad it was, Bannons funeral directors in Kirby were amazing, they let me know when my Dad was with them, they let my sister and I spend an hour with Dad before we had to leave for the church. The lady Georgina who took amazing care of not just our Dad but of my sister and I. As I live in London she had no hesitation in answering my calls, she was a great comfort to my sister and I especially me, In such a heart breaking situation somehow Georgina gave us comfort. She went out of her way to help my sister and I in anyway she could, she was very professional and polite but above all she was extremely understanding, I know that's her job but there are some people that just go above and beyond and out of there way. When you meet someone who you know have chosen the right job well Georgina is one of then, she has a kind and caring heart. Our Dad was a compare for many many years all over Liverpool and as luck would have it the person driving the Hearst was a compare which is strange enough, but the person who was driving my sister and I was also a compare, they both new Dad. Dad always joked with his granchildren that he had royal blood, as grandads do. The Hearst had a number plate with numbers then HRH, we new that Dad would of loved the thought of having 2 compares driving him, and he most definitely would of said, see I told you I had blue blood. From start to finish Bannons were exceptional, they showed there respects, they didn't rush us on the day, they were outstanding each and everyone of them and my sister and I can not recommend them highly enough. Thank you so much to everyone who looked after Dad from start to finish, you all in your own way made the day just that little bit easier. Many many thanks pam & Jackie Rickard
From the minute we called up Desmond L Bannon when my nan recently passed away, we were treated amazingly and with great respect. My mum and me had never had to sort out a funeral and didnt know where to start. Natalie was brilliant and helped us every step of the way and was so professional and empathetic. We had a problem getting the medical certificate from my nans medical centre and natalie and other colleagues kept calling the medical centre up on our behalf and got it sorted as we felt they where fobbing us off and taking ages to give us the certificate. My nan was resting at the kirkby site and the chapel of rest she was in was beautiful and welcoming. Just want to say a big thank you to everyone involved in helping us give my nan a beautiful send off, especially Natalie for being amazing at her job. We couldn't have done it without her xx Caroline and Sandra Mcgregor
