Beware if you insure for business use - they wriggle out. Family member bought a car from Evans Halshaw and paid for a warranty which is administered by Pendragon. A short time later he sold the car and paid 40 to transfer the warranty to the new owner. I gave him a cheque from my business. They refused to transfer warranty as they said there was a business at the address. Would only transfer if we could prove by Insurance Certificate that car was not used for business. (Their Terms & Condition no 11 prohibits business use.) TIP - if you are considering one of these warranties - and will be using and insuring for business then you probably won't be able to claim or transfer the warranty.

Do not purchase any warranty from this company - they will use any excuse to not pay a claim and they never answer the phone. When you do speak to someone, they are extremely rude and have no willingness to help you. Our car is so full of issues since we purchased from Evans Halshaw and their garages don't have the know how to do the work on the car so we have to take the car to a garage elsewhere - they will never speak to the people in our garage. Shocking!!!

Disorganised, threatening and rude.... Almost a year after returning my leased car, I received a threatening letter from Pendragon. They were chasing payment for respraying a damaged door, and said they would pass the matter to debt collectors if I didn’t respond. I replied, pointing out that I had never received the invoice they claimed to have sent me about 2 months after the car was returned - not the first time they had chased me for a non-existent invoice. The car had been returned almost a year earlier, and no damage had been raised during the detailed collection inspection. I invited them to provide me with photographic evidence of the damage, and proof that they had it repaired. This might be difficult, as I have photos from the collection date that show the door was undamaged. Now they don’t even have the courtesy to respond.....so for weeks over the festive period I don’t know whether or not to expect debt collectors!

Pendragon are not available out of normal office hours. This makes management of vehicle issues impossible. My car has been off the road several times due to unavailability of Pendragon.
