This company is a complete disgrace. I have had two separate advisers neither, of whom have any qualifications or experience within careers, counselling or even any industry which I am interested in. Their constant assertion of providing "training" is frankly ludicrous- these people are simply interested in turfing you on for profit and any supposed philanthropy they state should be dismissed as complete rubbish. I have twice been refused for CSCS card training(industry accredited, nationally recognised) and instead sent on ridiculous busy body workshops(for example being recommended to wash and brush your teeth before a job interview, how patronising is it possible to get?). Their attempts to offer placements at Bombardier fell completely flat on their face for all participants(3 months wait list, nobody hired) after an employment agency was able to dupe them in spite of the fact that they proudly trumpet on about their supposed connections within local industry. I would recommend anyone about to be sent to the work programme to request time to research it before signing up for a two year commitment to this shambles. If you have a job opportunity around the corner then this disgrace can be avoided. I should also point out that the neighbourhood is like a demilitarised zone(I genuinely witnessed a man collapse and apparently die in the street on my way there in January and am frequently harassed by alcoholics and drug addicts en route. A police car on the corner is a constant appearance. To reiterate-avoid, if asked to sign up for the work programme then politely state that you may sign this agreement but first would like to research the issue and assess your options before committing to this two year travesty. Up yours Ingeus!
