Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring is said to exceed the value of Mona Lisa in a sense (guide's sale) I watched a girl with Vermeer's pearl earrings. Even though it's such a world-famous painting You can thoroughly enjoy the splendor of the painting. The appearance of the building is quaint, but the area around the souvenir shop was modern.

A nice art exhibit. The museum isn't very big and the entrance price isn't cheap. You can see the whole museum in about 45 minutes, although you certainly could take longer. The building is amazing and oozes history. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Wonderful museum with an impressive collection. The building itself is worth the visit. You can find famous painters represented here, like Vermeer (Girl with a Pearl Earring), Rembrandt (Anatomy Lesson) or Rubens. The surrounding area is worth some time to explore as well

If you're in Den Haag Mauritshuis should be at the top of your list of galleries to visit. It's not a huge gallery like.the Rijksmuseum but it's collection of Dutch masters is formidable. Of course there is The girl with pearl earring but the rest of the collection is a great insight into the ditch golden age painters. I recommend getting there early to beat the crowds and to head straight to the second floor and work down whilst the crowds start at the bottom and work up. The building itself is a work of art with its marble floors painted ceilings and staircases. The outside is just as magnificent!

Tiny but very beautiful museum that hosts some of the most important Dutch paintings, such as The girl with the pearl earring, View over Delft or The Goldfinch. The building is exquisite and a short walk from the town center and the central train station. An absolute must see for art lovers and very recommended for everybody else. It won't take you more than two hours to visit it and you won't regret the experience!

Had to buy timed tickets online as well. Museum is actually quite small but had a wonderful collection of art including the Vermeer. Although a sign outside the museum said no photos were allowed, thankfully this was not enforced. It could be frustrating at times though to be inside because due to understandable social distancing measures, only a certain amount of people are allowed in a room at a time, leading to queues. By the time I was leaving I was so glad I had had an earlier entry slot (at 3pm) as there was a huge queue to get to the second floor of the museum. Anyway, besides Vermeer there is a wonderful Rembrandt and Jan Steen collection.

Superb collection of Dutch masters whose works are displayed in historically important and charming Mauritshuis Palace... Go early to avoid the often large groups visiting from every corner of the planet. A not so hidden gem... But well worth a visit!
