Rooms are nice, not too small. You have to pay seperately for breakfast. I didn't have breakfast, because I left early. (breakfast times start at 8 AM. Also, the reception opens at 8 AM. And if you want to check out earlier, you can't do much other than throwing your room key to the other side of the closed gate. There's a selection of analogue channels on TV. Most channels are in Dutch. A few in German and Belgian. There's no A/C. To get cool air, you can leave the balcony door open during the night. Theres Free Wi-Fi at the hotel. I haven't used it though, so I don't know if its any stable. You can boil water and make some coffee or tea in your room, which is a plus. You can get to the beach by walking distance. There's no free car parking around the hotel. I parked mine at a parking garage next to Holland Casino. It costs 30 euros per 24 hours.

Nice hotel. Close to the beach in Scheveningen. Really nice house. Looks like historic place. Recommendations!

Room has no air con so with young children that's a worry and for the price I would have hoped it had it. A triple room consists of a toilet (that has no leg room) , a 'double bed' which is two singles, a day bed which is so squeaky. On the description it says two rooms, now to me that doesn't sound like a small bathroom and a bedroom, two rooms sounds like 2 bedrooms. There is no service past 6pm. We asked for a cot but didn't get one. My little baby is sleeping on the floor on a blanket, my toddler is doing the same. Absolutely ridiculous. Half the lights aren't working or aren't even plugged in. Very disappointed. Definitely not as advertised, it says family friendly but the kettle is where a kid can get it. The table and chairs are near a window which is at a height a child can fall out of. We either had the option of being so hot we were sick, or the window open and the sound of gulls I didn't sleep at all.

It’s a old hotel, room wasn’t very clean and no balcony. Rooms aren’t isolated so you can hear the neighbors talk. It’s only 5 minutes from the beach and the promenade. Those that love old buildings will love this hotel

Luckily we didn't check TripAdvisor before going to this place. It was a nice cozy place with a decent price, close to beach, and comfortable for a night stay. The staff was cooperative. The only con: there was no lift to take luggage to the second floor, but it was not a big concern provided there were enough good points to chose this place.
