This lovely theatre with a stage and balcony provides the perfect background for baroque opera performances. I attended a Valentine’s Day performance for Johann Christian Bach’s Carattaco in 2020. Entering this building you are met with bold red, very white and black blocks of color or non color. The ceilings are towering and the rectangular cut outs draw your eye to the top. There is a box office and coat room on the right and a left situated cafe. Statafels are dotted about for nibbling on hors d’ouevres. The interior of the theatre and stage is delightful with the delicate lace like designs on the balcony railing. The ground level rises slightly with each row. The theatre is not designed for a pit orchestra, so my performance was sold with incorrect seating numbers. The first row was in the orchestra so everyone was shifted back. Confusing for many...

It has always been one of my favorite theaters and still is. It is beautifully situated at Lange Voorhout, arguably one of the most beautiful lanes in The Hague. Restaurants and bars are nearby and the lineup always offers the best Dutch theatre has to offer. Saw Patrick Laureij this time. Worth seeing!
Friendly and helpful technicians!
A nice small theater. Is has a good atmosphere.
Small theatre with friendly, helpful staff. Free wardrobe and drink (during the break or after the show) included in the ticket. Seats are ok but not so much leg room. The room is small making it cozy. The right show with the right audience gives the show that little bit extra participation feeling. Definitely worth a visit if you see somebody perform there you'd like to see.
