It is tackling a fundamental problem: the mismatch between renewable energy supply and consumer demand. Renewable energy is not stable and predicable and neither is the demand. Integrating storage with renewables can be a solution to this problem. The FLASC technology can also integrate into oil and gas infrastructure, lowering its carbon-footprint by allowing the use of renewables in a safe and predictable manner. At the core of this energy storage system is pressurised water and compressed air, making for a clean and sustainable solution. The technology is not particularly complex, but the way we approach it could be a game-changer. Potential customers range from manufacturers of floating platforms, offshore contractors, grid operators and oil and gas companies. These are very exciting times, in Q4 of 2017 we launched a small-scale working prototype...and we've been observing some very promising results!
