We have been waiting (fairly patiently) for our beloved Delaval Arms to reopen since it changed hands at the end of 2019. Major renovations and two lockdowns got in our way, but yesterday they started doing take out food. We jumped at the chance of trying out their new chef’s offerings. We opted for pizza, chips and salad. The pizza base was as good as I have had - lovely sourdough. Tasty dressing on the salad and great chips. The chocolate nemesis dessert was ‘to die for’ and rounded off a lovely meal. The whole experience was raised to the next level by our liquid refreshment - The Delaval Arms now has a microbrewery and we were among the first to try its first product, Secret Reefer. A lovely hazy zesty beer that went perfectly with our food. Well done to all at the pub. This has been a long haul, but it is starting to look like it has been very much worth waiting for.

Rubbish Sunday dinner. Hard potatoes. Crunchy cabbage. No vege options. Not cheap. No atmosphere. Its dog friendly tho xxx
Very welcoming and helpful owner. Good food and great music. Good location for seaside walks and close to St Marys Lighthouse.
