This is, really, a 4.8 review. I have found the place very conveniently located, not too busy and with a decent menu, though rather limited for a vegetarian. Serving was first class and fast, kudos for that. The food was great: the mushroom cream soup tasty and hot, the salmon (chef's special) not overcooked. I found the side a bit too salty, though, forcing me to ask for tapwater at the end, which the waiter graciously served. Also, I found the music a bit loud. Having been seated near the kitchen, the kitchen bell ringing was also noisy. Friendly, good money-for-value place downtown if you want a decent hot meal: I recommend it.

I was visiting Dej from Canada and was recommended by some friends to check out Red Wine Bistro. My server, Raluca, was extremely helpful and friendly. As a tourist who does not speak Romanian, the English menu was very helpful. She was able to recommend excellent wine with my meal. Red Wine Bistro has a wonderful atmosphere, modern decor and great food. I recommend anyone to give Red Wine Bistro a try. You will not be disappointed!
