Decoy Ponds was the absolutely perfect venue for our rustic wedding reception in June 2018. From the very first visit we knew we had uncovered a hidden gem. Tucked away just off the A27, this extremely generous sized field running parallel to the beautiful “Decoy Pond” offers a stunning backdrop to any relaxed outdoor wedding. The owners, Karen and Chris, could not have been more accommodating, flexible or helpful with the preparations before the day and allowed us to create the wedding day of our dreams with minimal fuss. We chose to erect a traditional marquee and added a rustic twist with the use of their firepit and other rustic props including wooden barrels, crates and handmade wooden signs. We were blessed with a gorgeously sunny wedding day and the reflections off the pond were absolutely breathtaking, creating ample photo opportunity. The generous sound curfew of 1am was also extremely attractive and allowed the party to get in full swing. In addition to this, the venue offers a multi-functional summerhouse and a car park in the adjacent field which easily accommodated the cars of our 150 guests. We would 100% recommend this venue to any couple looking for a natural and versatile setting for their special wedding day. An easy 5 star review for a 5 star venue!
