Decatur station is composed of lively people and interesting shops and restaurants that transform upon taking center stage once the world dome switches its lights off. The densley layered city is a staple of Atlanta's often overlooked crusty perimeter. Though I have moved away to a state I never knew I'd be in I must say that Decatur is home. Decatur is a beacon.

This area in general--not just the Marta station but the walking area around the station--is very family friendly and fun to chill at with friends.
Excellent architecture. Well maintained and clean. There is no restroom facility here. There is bus station at walkable distance.
Great station. In middle of everything.
Not to really say, it is a nice transit station, located in Downtown Decatur. This is where you would go when handling legal affairs and jury duty in the South DeKalb County area. Beware when approaching this station on the MARTA train because you will have horrible to zero cellular service in the station until of course going up the stairs.
