Who hired these people? Its sad when you have to do someone else's job because they are too incompetent. Do better Dekalb, thats why you are getting defunded. There are better ways to waste money and time.

Honestly, it was a very smooth and efficient process for a traffic ticket. Look up your case online to know which courtroom to go to because they seat you in order of arrival. Get there early. Parking is 3 all day. You'll enter the courtroom and be seated by the deputy to check in. After checking in, you'll be seated in a line to speak with a solicitor (almost always ask to speak to the solicitor when you check in). You'll speak to the solicitor about a charge reduction. You'll then wait to stand in front of the judge to enter your plea (not guilty, guilty, NOLO). If you can't pay your fines that day, you'll be given paperwork to receive a future date to pay by (usually 1 month) or apply for probation to have 12 months (9 with reduced time) to pay or complete community service in lieu of paying money. Very impressed! Always be kind and show respect in court. Your actions got you there, not theirs. I was in and out in 2.5 hours from finding parking to driving away.

Customer service is trash. I’m a really patient person so when I was told to wait 2 weeks to hear from someone about a traffic court date...I remained calm. After calling 3 different times and a month later, I don’t have an answer. It’s a simple traffic violation - either I need to go to court or pay the fine. Don’t make people wait over a month for a straight answer. I don’t even live in GA so this was absolutely inefficient and absurd. And of course, most of the people I spoke to over the phone were rude.
