We had an excellent time in the De Vere Wokefield Estate! Staff was truly lovely and, because our stay was a gift from our daughters to celebrate our 27th anniversary, staff decorated our room, left some sweets and drinks to celebrate and gifts with congratulations messages. We received their congratulations throughout the weekend from the different staff and everyone made us feel very welcome and special. Rooms are comfortable and the scenery is breath taking. I recommend that you have a walk around the property, there's plenty to see and observe, lots of lovely flowers and a variety of different birds and butterflies. The lake is beautiful and have lots of different animals. The Manor House itself it is very interesting but don't feel disappointed if you're allocated a room at the newish building. The decoration is gorgeous and the spacious lounges are very cosy. This property isn't just ideal for the golf enthusiasts, if you have any doubts about it. If you want a decent relaxing time, a proper countryside walk but don't want to go too far from the convenience of a nearby town, this is the place to stay! In less than 20 minutes we were in Reading for dinner. The property also offers restaurants and bars with yummy food, if you want to stay in. Gluten Free meals are an option, which for me was just the cherry on the top of the cake, as I'm wheat intolerant. The hotel has so many snug sites, you can happily stay beyond the checkout hours and enjoy the rest, read a book or enjoy the scenery. Staff make sure you enjoy your time and let you know about it. You can still use the pool and gym after checking out and go for a swim anytime between 6:30 am until 9:30 pm. Breakfast is good and a plus is the fact that they serve diary alternatives and gluten free options, too. The property has free of charge parking and also a cash machine. Thank you for a wonderful weekend, to the De Vere staff.

Our room was a little run down and they gave us twin beds when we booked a double. The food is pretty terrible. The pool is nice but it was impossible to distance in it so we left after 15 mins. Usually love the De Vere hotels but I won't be rushing back to this one. It's saving grace is the great staff
What a lovely hotel.food was great. Pool table. Drinks in the bar not to badly priced. Also had a little walk around the mansion house which you see in the pictures which is nice to the main hotel which also accommodates guests so maybe I may try to stay there next time. Only thing I would suggest to improve is make the swimming pool bigger and to have a hot tub and steam room although there was very nice sauna there..
Excellent, had every angle covered towards covid, clean rooms, staff most helpful and friendly , brilliant golf course and facilities, will definitely be going there again
3 day golf break. Smart hotel and nice rooms. Continental breakfast bag and a soggy bacon roll was a poor effort for breakfast. The bar staff were extremely slow and appeared quite disinterested at times. Single option evening meal first night was very poor in a conference room. No shot saver books to buy on a tough course was not great. Check in was a joke, one person on as we all came off the course wet and wanting a shower. Expected better overall.
