Have had two experiences at Davies, when new to the area. First was a bit frustrating, the card machine was not working(this happens, fine) but during a pandemic when surely you don't want people unnecessarily in the limited space indoors, it would be helpful to advise customers of this while they are standing in the queue. One staff member seemed not to know, two of her colleagues did and said it had been the case for days. The second was much more positive. I came prepared with cash and ordered two lovely and clearly homemade savoury pastries. Was able to sit upstairs and the lady who bought my order up and cleared the plates was a sweetheart. Heartily recommend the bakery on that basis, just would advise that communication is a little bit better. Although I appreciate that could have been a one off experience.

This lovely bakery had a good range of sweet and savoury goodies alongside the selection of bread for sale. We didn’t stop in for something in the cafe but the food others were having at their tables looked delicious. The prices are very good too and it’s certainly better value for money than the big chains who serve up reheated stodge that gets delivered frozen. Craft bakeries like this need our support so if you’re in the Mumbles area, pop in! :)

Very disappointed in my visit around 30 mins ago ... queued to get in as expected and rightly so, however as there were so many people in the shop I waited until the person who’d gone in before me had been served. I Picked up and paid for my welsh cakes - unfortunately there were so many people waiting for their take out food I had to ask for A man in a cycle helmet to step aside to let me exit... he just looked at me as if I had spoken a different language! He said ‘I’m waiting for food’ to which I said ‘this is the exit and I need to go out, there are still social distancing rules in place’ .. I then had to ask his partner/wife to step aside immediately outside the exit door as she too was in the way and no one could exit without being in close proximity to either of these two people. I really do think you need to have someone limiting the amount of people in the shop, particularly as you’re offering take out food where congregating around your exit door is inevitable Fully understand the need to earn a living and as much as possible given the difficulties over the last three or four months but for the time being, serving customers in a safe way needs to be reviewed

A really good cafe and bakery, lots of choices, good selection of freshly baked bread and pies, pasties etc, we enjoyed our little lunch of bacon baps and sandwiches, staff very friendly and super helpful, Thank you for helping my wife with my wheelchair. Highly recommended.
