A brilliant piece of history to see. Step steep best to come in via the town centre. Many cannons but none in the Fort. Parking is in rhe Town car parks really. Plenty of lovely views over the harbour. Will visit again in the near future

Dartmouth is a Most Scenic Town running along the Estuary out to Sea..Along the End off the Estuary is Dartmouth Castle with Splendid Views ..Car n Foot Ferry leaves every 10 mins from Kingswear to Dartmouth..A Variety of Boutique Shops..Cobbled Stones....Quaint Tea rooms.. Old Market etc ..The Scenic walk from the Town Centre to the Castle is a Must for Ramblers
A beautifully picturesque area with perfect clear still waters overlooking Kingswear with boats sailing by, that has some very informative historical plaques about the area & the Fort itself of what actually happened a very long time ago.
Really amazing views. Really good time out with couples and family. Round robin trip was really good. Cost around 35 a adult. 30 mins steam train with amazing views. 90 mins boat ride along the river. Then a 30 mins bus journey. Really good way to see amazing views of Dartmouth. Would recommend to all who visit. Good for all ages.
Small easy to find fort. Historically interesting but not much to see.
