Darjeeling Indian Restaurant, Timperley

First time we are trying this restaurant and I was expecting to be pleased due to the star rating it had I was very disappointed. We ordered Lamb Dhal Gosht and Pepper Fry Lamb. Indian food should be correctly cooked. I am an Indian from Bangalore and I ha e eaten Lamb Pepper Fry many times. What we got was a travesty. Lamb Dhal Gosht is a Muslim dish and what we got was just not like a proper one. I am truly sorry that I have had to write such a critical review. Want real Indian food ... go to Asha's or Dishoom or even Rasassi Altrincham!!! Just to add... they have a dish on the menu called Rajasthani Chicken Masala... The restaurant describe it as a Chicken dish in a South Indian spicy sauce. Rajasthan is in the North East of India. At least be accurate in description if not recipe. @Darjeeling: Want to improve? Get a proper Indian chef who knows what the dishes are and how to make them. Take a little more time when cooking them and not be like a typical Bangladeshi take away. Otherwise, don't call yourself an Authentic Indian restaurant because that is not what you are.

Just been in for the first time it was very nice and clean and nice staff and very helpful could not eat it all so they boxed it up for me would recommend this restaurant

Food Ok, very polite staff BUT... NO COVID-19 MEASURES! NO CARD PAYMENTS! NO FACE MASK! TOO RISKY FOR A CURRY.
