The 3 stars maybe unfair but there are reasons. Lovely walks, great looking park for the children but we decide it was too busy to use given the current situation. There were no facilities open, again due to Covid I guess. It just made us cut our stay short as we had children and teens needing the loo. There could also do with some signs to say that some of the pathways are narrow. This made it impossible to social distance in places and made us feel uneasy. Having said that if we go again we know not to go certain ways.

There's a good amount of walking to be done here. I have in the past walked over the top into the Rhondda. The centre and shop are closed at the moment, but there was a ice cream van in the car park. And although quite busy it was a great day out. We'll worth a visit. Especially for the children

Beautiful open spaces - lakes, waterfalls, stream, all with incredibly clear water, surrounded by grassland and trails that are easy to walk along. Really peaceful - not many people there - presumably as the play areas and Visitor Centre still closed - but still a lovely place for families and dog walkers to enjoy. Saw some ponies being ridden through the Park from the on-site Riding School and several families enjoying picnics in the sunshine and ice-cream from the on-site van in the free car park. Well worth a visit!!

A great park that is very popular with all ages. Not functioning normally at the moment because of virus restrictions but still a great place to enjoy the outdoors. Cafe not open but toilets are along with playgrounds so families can let their children off the leash.

Beautiful reclaimed countryside with some historical reminders of its coal mining past. Well maintained paths, lakes and parks.
