I booked here for Sunday lunch after a stay at nearby Glentham Grange in Market Rasen. The owners recommended it and several of their guests visit during their stay in Lincolnshire. The pub is very traditional and as you might expect from it’s name has lots of memorabilia about the Dam Busters who were based at RAF Scampton nearby. I didn’t have a starter or pudding as the Sunday lunch was very substantial. I had pork and there were a few things that really impressed me; my plate had a piece of crackling which I usually have to request and it was cooked to perfection. The roast potatoes were very good, (an important part of a good Sunday lunch, and the trimmings were lovely. Really, very good. I wish I had room for pudding as they sounded very good. Highly recommended. Friendly staff, nice location.
Very good meal as always, treated my son to an afternoon dinner and looked around the old aircraft parts and pictures..highly recommended this place for a meal
Brilliant pub. Friendly, busy, great food and drink. Memorabilia fantastic. Well worth a visit and worthy of all their awards.
