Everything was phenomenal and I don't use that word lightly. Anu's place is so much more than a place to sleep - it became our home for rhe duration of our stay and Anu did so much to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The room and bathroom were totally spotless, the beds were so comfy and so welcome after a few bad nights sleep elsewhere. Anu provided everything including fresh cold juice on arrival as well as every morning. The dinner is WELL worth having - Anu and his lovely mum cooked us a TEN dish curry and rice that was out of this world, so nice we had dinner two nights and the second time we had not ten but TWELVE different curries all different and delicious. Anu even included unusual vegetables he had shown us the night before when he had kindly taken us on a free tour of the local wholesale fruit and veg market which was great. Fantastic value for money and much better than any restaurant in Dambulla. The location is just perfect for sightseeing and relaxing by the river. I cannot recommend this place enough - we felt sad to leave and as a beautiful gift and the icing on the cake Anu gave me a tote bag embroidered with 'Anu's homestay' and their signature elephant pattern that had been on our pillows.

It was really the best choose what we made! Anu was very helpful and he went with us also to cave temple and did a guide for us! We very appreciate that! And I have to say it was one of my best breakfast I have had here in Sri Lanka! With best coffee. I don't know what coffee it was but it was so delicious I can't forget about it! I recommend it for 110% and if I would go there again I will for sure book it again! The room was clean and bathroom too! We had towels and very comfy beds! Thank you once again!
Great experience ! Anu is a fantastic host, very attentive and dedicated. He took us and guided us to the archeological attractions in the area and recommended us the best Sri Lankan food in town ! Definitely a must if you want to discover Dambulla from a local perspective. And I love the delicious juice & coffee shop !
