I had my wisdom teeth removed at this practice 3 years ago, and although my overall pain was low and healing time was short, one of my nerves was damaged during the removal and I have never regained full feeling in my left lower jaw/chin area. During my initial consultation I was told there was “less than a 1% chance” of this happening. During my follow-up appointment post surgery, I was told there was a “99% chance of recovery.” My advice to those reading this is that wisdom teeth removal is not risk-free, and I don’t feel like I was educated enough by the doctor on what those risks were prior to my procedure.

I came here twice, one in 2017 and one just last week. Both were for wisdom teeth removal. Dr. Stewart did the first one in 2017 and Dr. Arango did the 2nd one. I didn't need to be fully sedated(score!) for either so it only took like 5 minutes for them to actually remove the tooth. Awesome doctors and a very nice staff. They all are very knowledgeable and definitely try and keep you calm. They also follow up with you to see how you're doing which I thought was cool. The first time was a same day emergency and the 2nd time I was able to get an appt the same week I called (wasn't urgent). I got 2 left that I will have to be sedated for (damn!) so I'm sure I'll be back just hopefully not too soon... Highly Recommend!

About two weeks ago Dr. Arongo performed a couple of extractions and a bone graft to eventually support implants. It’s a multi step process, and I will require an additional surgery in a few months. In an effort to avoid using opioids, I paid 300 extra for a 72-hour local anesthetic called Exparel. It was the best investment I’ve ever made! This is a complete numbing of the whole surgical field, so I had to be careful about what foods I ate. My husband had oral surgery about the same time, without Exparel, and his experience was far more painful than mine. The numbing effect slowly wears off after 3 days but by then it was mostly over anyway and I was able to use Tylenol and Ibuprofen with good results. I had pain in a nearby tooth and he actually gave me another injection. If your surgeon doesn’t offer this drug - get a different surgeon! I’m very pleased. Weeks later. It’s not the easy, routine cases that are the measure of knowledge and skill - it’s cases like mine. I had a major complication, and Dr. Arongo drove in from home to meet me just to relieve my pain. I have many specialists but none as compassionate and committed as this one.

I feel extremely fortunate to have had my procedure done here by Dr. Stewart. Every single person that I interacted with has been caring, patient, & reassuring, which I am grateful for particularly because I had a lot of fears going through this process. Dr. Stewart in particular has followed up with me several times to make sure I was recovering well, demonstrating an unparalleled level of commitment to patient care. I would wholeheartedly recommend this office for any oral surgery needs. Thank you so much to all of you for your help!
