The Experience was great, nice varieties of arts inside! Admission is free however to see the “light house” and a couple other art exhibits you must pay a ticket. Tried calling the museum ahead of time to inquire about parking details and unfortunately no ones gets to the phone. The easiest parking would be to park on the street and pay for meter parking. This Museum also has a section catered to Islamic art which is very beautiful and interesting.

This museum is huge, and you could easily spend an entire day here enjoying and learning about any kind of art your heart desires! They even have a modern art gallery which I greatly enjoyed. The recreation of La Pausa was an unexpectedly incredible experience and highly recommend it! All of this and it's free!

I spent 4 hours here and it wasn’t even close to enough. The details can keep you enthralled endlessly and the wide variety of exhibits ensures everyone can find their niche. By far the most impressive art/cultural museum I’ve ever experienced!

My boyfriend and I LOVED this museum. We stopped by on a whim while we were passing through Dallas. It's located in the Art District and is surrounded by other museums, so there is no shortage of things to do in the area. We were prepared to pay admission, but once we entered the museum, we found that there was no fee! There was so much to see inside. There were exhibits for pretty much every culture and country you can think of. They had exhibits for Egypt (where they have an actual mummy), Buddhist and Hindu art, African art, colonial America, classical art, Greek, Roman, French, Italian, Spanish, Japan, China, everything! The contemporary art section was particularly interesting, as there was a piece that shared my name (Bethany) that I've attached a picture of. There was also a sculpture garden that we didn't have time to get to. The facilities were clean and the staff were helpful and knowledgeable. We will definitely return when we have more time to devote to this great place.

The immigration exhibit was the best one, it's the newest exhibit. The art pieces were very nice, but some of the art museum workers kept looking at us and following us, which made us a bit uncomfortable at times. The feeling of being watched really got in the way of appreciating the art fully. It's a free activity, so that was nice too. The museum store also had many things to look at, like art books and other knick knacks.
