Historic building, beautiful views, good management, great community. Not snobby, stuck up or pretentious. A secure, quiet and friendly place to live right in the heart of Dallas. Decent gym on site. No pool or other amenities but if you're looking for the 'downtown living experience', this is THE place for it.

Downtown is your playroom. The elevators are constantly going down and this is not made aware to the new people moving in. They either hire a bad company to fix the elevators or they order cheap parts, either way; not a fun experience if you live on the 8th floor or have amazon delivery guys struggling to get to your floor. Not to mention the CDC guidelines that limit the number of people riding one elevator. When only one elevator is working, be sure to plan on waiting 10mins to get anywhere, only 2 people can ride at one time. The holidays are around the corner and it seems like management doesn’t care about their residents. ‘Annoyed’ doesn’t even come close to how I am feeling right now. Also, they have not cleaned the outside windows like they used to or powered washed the garage in over a year. Maintenance needs to do a better job about about all of this. The new management is rude and unapologetic. No warmth in her attitude. I’ll be looking for a new place next year. The only benefit to living here are the amazing sun light that comes into the lofts and the commodity of living downtown in the middle of everything.

I just moved into 1900 Elm a few days ago. I first wanted to say thank you to Ms. Carrie Stallings! She made my move as stress free as possible!! My husband is in the military and has to leave to an unaccompanied duty station, and I decided to move here to Texas with family. If you can imagine, there was a lot going on! Carrie answered every question that I had in a timely manner, and quickly resolved any issues that occurred during my move in process. So, I was beyond relieved and very grateful with the help and warm welcome that I received from both Carrie and Jodie. Thank you ladies! As far as the apartments itself goes, it’s a really beautiful place to live in for loft and studio living. The ceilings are tall, the ornate details give it a grand and nice touch. The history behind it all is really fascinating and makes this place even more unique. I also love that the building itself is located next to a park, and a ton of other food and small shopping places. It’s also not too far from highway access which is great if you’re traveling for work (I forget which highway). There are only two “flaws” I can think of personally: My unit is located next to the elevator, so when my tv is off, and it’s quiet, I can hear the elevator going up and down quite often. Also, the small and tight parking spots. But, I’m pretty sure that will always be a con to consider living anywhere that’s in the city. So, just a friendly heads up! Overall I love it so far! :)

New manager Jodie Bruce is a great value add to the building. She definitely has an eye for improving the property and works with the maintenance dept. to do exactly that. ALWAYS helpful!!!
