This is a nice area for a walk. The garden is really nice to visit and has some interesting plants.

Lovely and varied gardens, with lots of seating to enjoy the views. Good tea room, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

LOVELY STATELY HOME. VISITED ON MARMALADE FESTIVAL WEEKEND. HOUSE IS ELEGANT AND THE GARDENS, THE LAYOUT IS GOOD BUT MAY AND JUNE WILL SEE IT IN FULL FLOWER. DONT MISS THE DEER PARK AND TAKE THE HIKE TO DACRE AND SEE THE TOWER.

Really nice house steeped in history, recommend the tour. Takes around 45 mins. Garden is nice and the marmalade is great, you can sample all of them. The apple & brandy is my favourite. The marmalade fudge is great too.
