If you are looking for something fun to do, then THIS IS IT! We started with panning for gold. Between my husband and I we found 6 flecks of gold. We then toured the gold mine. Very educational and our guide was Jason, who was incredibly friendly, funny, and well educated when it came to the mine. You can tell that he enjoys his job and that makes a difference!! We did not have our children with us, but there were children in our group and he went above and beyond to include them, specifically teach them and made sure that he pointed out cool things to them, like salamanders, garnet in the rock etc. We then search for gems. My husband and I were like kids again! They have tv monitors to help you identify things you find. We both walked away with large bags of gems. This is by far one of the best experiences we have ever had and we want to plan a trip back with our kiddos!! If you are in the area definitely visit and wear shoes with good grip!!

Enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide Mason did an AMAZING job! The whole staff there is top notch!Panning for gold and gem mining was the best. Had some great finds. Ruby's , sapphires and many other beautiful gems that you can have finished and made into jewelry. Just ask for Mike! Looking forward to receiving my finished pendant piece. Can't wait to visit again next year!

Miner Dillon was an absolute gem! He was kind, funny and very knowledgeable. He took time to answer questions and although he had to wear a mask, I could tell he was answering with a smile! Next time we're up here from Orlando we'll definitely be back! Thanks Dillon!

The people are real nice and our son had great time as for I left puzzled of the the stones I found. Found several that had clearly been cut . I'd feel like the dirt has already been gone threw now don't get me wrong I didn't go expecting to find a rare a valuable gem. However realizing that it's not even possible to find anything of value is a bummer. I will happily change this review if someone there is willing to give a logical explanation for the stones because they certainly are naturally found this way and one has been cut on 3 sides .so help me out guys I'm listening .Photos included.

This place Is the BEST gem mining place in this area of Georgia that you’re ever gonna find. I was greeted by an extremely friendly woman who was so kind and wanted us to have the best time possible. She was quick and concise. The workers beyond that were also phenomenal, everyone was so knowledgeable, nice, and just made you feel at home. Everything is so spread out so it’s perfectly safe throughout this pandemic. Our tour guide made us feel safe, smarter, and energized. Not to mention he was funny! When it came to the gem mining I was blown away. I got more gems and stones than I could’ve ever asked for... definitely worth my 100. Sweetest people, sweet prices, even sweeter memories.
