Friendly owner. Knowledgeable. Some reasonably priced 2nd hand bikes. c.49 for a service. He also takes part exchange when upgrading the kids bikes.
Helpful, reasonably priced
Horrible service from a personal level and gave me incorrect information to boot. I went in to the shop, only to seem like I was an inconvenience asking for him to look at my broken gears. I was informed the gears were broken , the derailleur was loose.and the suspension was broken. Basically buy a new bike and go away was what I got. Now I am not immune to the fact the bike is knackered! However I went home you tubed , saw ways of putting a new trigger gear selector etc on it and getting the bike running- which he basically said was not possible as bike was beyond repair. Long story short I yanked the wire to get the tension back, put it back into the guide and hurrah it all slipped back into place and works. Albeit still a bit of a knackered old beast. I was more than happy to pay him 20/30 quid to get it going again and take advantage of his knowledge as I am not the most mechanical of people - hence going to the bike shop. .. but the unfixable bike was fixed and now he gets a bad review. I have since heard from a few people that he is a offish and miserable which I can testify to. Plus obviously he knows nothing about fixing bikes.. a reasonably key skill when owning a bike shop. Go to the other bike shop is my advice
Hi all, after selling my old mountain bike I thought I would buy a new mountain bike. This is a local bike shop in the High street so I thought I would just pop in and have a look as I live in Ringwood. After explaining what I was after the shop staff Couldn't be more helpful found what I was looking for, very helpful, no pressure great service and price. One happy customer thanks again. Rob.
