This post relates to the delivery driver CW Butchers in a small white van travelling along the A361 towards Seend Hill at approx 3.10pm today, Just past what used to be the Bell Inn the 30 mph opens to the national speed limit marked by a central traffic island. I had been following a CW Butchers vehicle from the traffic lights at the junction of Bath Rd and the A361 so any competent driver should have been aware not only of the the vehicle in front (a light blue Micra, to refresh your memory) but the vehicle behind, a motorbike driven by me.......... As all 3 vehicles passed the traffic island into the nationals I indicated right moved over to opposite carriageway and accelerated to overtake once committed to the manoeuvre as my bike became level with the white van (CW Butchers) he pulled out..........If I had a smaller engined bike he would have knocked me off luckily I could accelerate out his way. further down the road I pulled over so I could see and subsequently recognise the driver should it become necessary. As luck would have it i met up with the driver of the Micra at a store in Trowbridge, he remembered the incident and commented on the poor standard of driving of the CW Butchers vehicle............ This information will be passed to the motorbiking fraternity of Wiltshire with a strong warning to give this vehicle plenty of space........... All I require is a promise to follow the basic highway code of MIRROR SIGNAL MANOEUVRE. If the driver wishes to contest my account then I am willing to pass my details to the Wiltshire Constabulary, along with those of the other driver/witness
This butcher in Devizes sells very good beef and lamb, also other products which I have not tried yet, but will in due course. The shop is exceptionally clean and airy and spacious. The Staff are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Keep up the fantastic work Patrick and Hannah, plus all other members of staff, but those are the two I met today. They also sell many other interesting products and meat accompaniments .
What service! Went to buy a marrow bone for my dog and the butcher suggested he may have some heart out the back! He went to check! Sadly all gone but sausages and kidney will make a lovely meal! He also recommended the filet steak which was lovely! Will definitely be back and recommending to everyone I know! Thank you!
