SALTO empowers these entrepreneurs and connects them to business networks, so that they can sell their products at fair prices and reach larger markets. To achieve this, we provide business facilitation and consulting services to the farmers and artisans we work with and help them improve the different areas of their business. Thanks to the business network we have developed, these micro-enterprises can be integrated into the value chains present in their regions; the network opens the doors to more customers, better prices, and updated information on fairs, regulations and joint business strategies. Our consulting teams work with micro-entrepreneurs to help them organize their production, implement cost strategies, develop a brand, implement a marketing campaign and plan their finances, among others. In addition to this, we organise other events such as FINC 2016 (International Business Forum in Cusco), where more than 400 participants learned about businesses and entrepreneurship. Our project follows a cross-benefit model. Our consultants participate in an integral training program and later use these skills to help a micro-entrepreneur improve their business. This program allows the entrepreneur to learn by doing, how to formulate solutions tailored specifically for their business. We put local knowledge to the best use and realize the potential of local human capital. Our consultants, who know the local languages, customs and local business situation, can better understand and formulate solutions to given business challenges.
